Celebration! WorshipJOIN US: Sundays at 11:11 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall
Our hearts are filled with a restless longing that nothing on earth can ever fully supply. Only God can give us that deep, inner peace for which we yearn. In order to receive this gift, we need to enter into a trusting relationship with our Creator. When we take this step, the gift of peace is planted like a seed within us. It is our responsibility to ensure that this seed grows and bears fruit. How we go about doing this is what the Serenity Prayer is all about. April 7: The Gift of Serenity April 14: Acceptance, Courage, Wisdom April 21: Focusing on the One Day, One Moment April 28: Facing Hardships and Living in a Fallen World May 5: Trusting the Lord to Make it Right ![]() The Lord’s Prayer The disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray. Jesus taught them this prayer. It is known as the Lord’s Prayer but it really should be called a Disciple’s Prayer because it is in saying and living out this prayer that we truly become a disciple of Jesus Christ. In this series we will learn what it means to pray this prayer and to be formed by this prayer. Warning! This prayer could be a hazardous to those seeking to live a comfortable and self-centered life. May 19: Our Father, Who Art in Heaven May 26: Hallowed be Thy Name June 2: Thy Kingdom Come June 9: Our Daily Bread June 16: Forgiveness June 23: Lead Us Not Into Temptation, But Deliver Us From evil June 30: For Thine is the Kingdom, and the Power, and the Glory
Celebration Service Frequently Asked Questions
What can I expect in the service? Upbeat music, stimulating visuals and down to earth messages that help you relate to God and deal with real life issues.
What should I wear?
Wear what is comfortable. Dress casual is great. So are school clothes. We are more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear.
What’s available for my children?
During Celebration! a nursery is available at the east end of the building near the playground. Just turn right inside the entrance to Celebration, go to the end of the long hallway, take a right and go down the stairs. Sunday school classes are available for children 3 – 5 years old in room 102 and for those in the 1st - 5th grades nearby in room 116. Youth are welcome to participate in the celebration service.
Interpretation for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing FUMCC ministers to the deaf and hard of hearing by interpreting the Celebration service in American Sign Language. Our hard of hearing friends have reserved seats at the front of the Fellowship Hall on the left-hand side.
