Children's Music

 

 

Age 2, by October 15th, w/caregiver. Wednesday, 5:15 - 5:45 pm Room 124. Toddlers and caregivers will explore church songs using voice, body movements and simple instruments. Contact Patti Cook

 

Age 3, by October 15th, Wednesday, 5:15 - 5:45 pm in Room 122. Knowledge of church music is expanded using voice, body movements and instruments. Contact Patti Cook

 

Age 4. Wednesday, 5:15 - 5:45 pm in Rooms 114. Four-year-olds will learn traditional songs to enjoy for a lifetime. Contact Patti Cook

 

Kindergarten. Wednesday, 5:15 pm in Room 118. September - December we will meet until 5:45 pm and January - May we will extend choir until 6:00 pm. We will learn to use our singing voices, play rhythmic instruments and praise God through music. Contact Patti Cook

 

1st and 2nd grade. Wednesday, 5:15 - 6:00 pm in Room 200. We will be singing, dancing and learning about notes and rhythms. The choir will use 1st grade energy and enthusiasm to learn the fun of making music for God! Contact Patti Cook

 

3rd-6th grade. Wednesday, 4:15 - 5:15 pm in the Choir Room. Fundamentals taught at this age include the use of rounds, canons and descants that build confidence to begin three and four part singing in New Spirit Youth Choir. This choir will sing in worship and perform either a Christmas or spring musical. Contact Patti Cook

 

Ages 10+. Open to children with ensemble experience or taking lessons privately who would work toward sharing their talent in a worship setting. Contact Ted Wagner

 

4th grade. Wednesday, 5:15 - 6:00 pm in the Philathea Room. Hand chime program for beginning ringers with no ringing experience. Contact Ann Leary

 

5th grade. Wednesday, 5:15 - 6:00 pm in the Room 216. For ringers with some experience and/or good knowledge of music.  Contact Karen Schreiner.
