About Our Services

Log Cabin
Saturday at 5:30 p.m. in the Log Cabin
A casual “come as you are” worship service held on Saturday evenings in the Log Cabin on the FUMCC Campus at the corner of Waldo and Walker Street. Communion is held the 1st Saturday evening of each month. Contact Rev. Dan Lipp at dlipp@fumc-cary.org or 467-1861.

Sunday Traditional Services

8:25a.m. in the Sanctuary (Communion on the 1st Sunday of each month)
9:45a.m. in the Sanctuary (Communion quarterly on the 1st Sunday)
11:o5a.m. in the Sanctuary (Communion quarterly on the 1st Sunday)

The traditional worship service at FUMCC follows an order of worship that is familiar to many generations of church-goers. Our traditional service involves the singing of hymns, reading of scripture verses and possibly a psalm, and a sermon. Vocal music is traditionally sung by one of our choirs or the congregation (or a mixture of the two), usually accompanied by the pipe organ and other instruments. Contact Carl Frazier.

Celebration!
Sunday at 11:11 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall (Communion quarterly on the 1st Sunday)

The Celebration! Contemporary service features upbeat music, stimulating visuals and down to earth messages that help you and your family relate to God and deal with real life issues.

What can I expect in the service?
Upbeat music, stimulating visuals and down to earth messages that help you relate to God and deal with real life issues.

What should I wear?
Wear what is comfortable. Dress casual is great. So are school clothes. We are more concerned with meeting your real life needs than with what you wear.

What’s available for my children?
During Celebration! a nursery is available at the east end of the building near the playground. Just turn right inside the entrance to Celebration, go to the end of the long hallway, take a right and go down the stairs. Sunday school classes are available for children 3 – 5 years old in 102 and for those in the 1st - 5th grades nearby in 116. Youth participate in the service.

For more information, contact Rev. William Green at (919) 467-1861 or Brent Hubbell, Worship Leader at (919) 467-1861.

Selah Gatherings

What is Selah? It’s a group of folks who are interested in reflective, meditative worship mid-week, who like to eat and share ideas about things like centering prayer, praying the hours, the music of Taize and interesting books.  Everyone is welcome and you are invited!

The Selah gathering meets the first Thursday of each month in the Log Cabin. Join us at 6:30pm for coffee and conversation. Worship begins at 7pm.

Special Worship Services
Special worship services are usually held on Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, All Saint's Day, Moravian Love Feast, Christmas Eve and in special youth and adult worship services during Advent. Holy Communion is held quarterly and at special services throughout the year. The Messenger newsletter and other media will be used to inform the congregation of special services.
